Pre-prom stop DWI program
at Colonie High School
Fuller Road Fire Department was happy to participate in Colonie High School's pre-prom stop DWI program designed to drive home to students the consequences of drinking and driving. Members of Fuller Road FD, Cpt. Bob Davis, firefighter Kaila Ricciardi and firefighter Shawn Praisner, set up a table and video slide show depicting extrications as well as having a car outside with Rescue 3 and all it's extrication tools. While we were not able to cut up the car we able to demonstrate our tools and capabilities if an extrication were necessary. The whole point of the exercise was to drive home the consequences of drinking and driving to students prior to their senior prom. Many students stopped by to view the presentation and equipment demonstrations. Hopefully this, along with Albany County's stop DWI presentations, was able to open the students eyes to the ramifications of drinking and driving.
