At 12:44pm on April 20, 2007 Fuller Road Fire Department was dispatched with West Albany Fire Department to a CSX rail car fire behind the West Albany pocket park. Rescue 3 laid 400' of 5" hose to supply West Albany E459. They had laid a supply line and stretched multiple handlines as well as utilized a master stream. Fuller Road Fire Department returned to service at 15:04 Also at 13:04 Fuller Road Fire Department was dispatched to a possible structure fire on Computer Drive West. It turned out that the building lost 2 of its 3 phases which in turned caused some motors to burn out. Returned to service at 13:28 |

Newspaper accounts of
the Paulsen Lumber Co. Fire indicate that the fire started around 1pm
and was knocked down by 3pm, but fire companies were putting out hot
spot all night. The fire started in the paint shop and spread to building
2, which was destroyed. Wind gusts of approximately 36 miles an hour
and low water pressure hampered the efforts of the firemen from various
fire companies through out Albany County assisted the Fuller Road Fire
Department. The lost was estimated to be around $500,00.00 |
